The two sides above make up Prior Art, something that can be called a mixtape but considered more its own cloud, having vaporized original work and remix with a distinct, tonal and sonic filter. First entered as a work in progress shared by our friend Leo of Spanish Prisoners, it has since become a go-to head space, and is now fully furnished on limited cassette, and available for download, alongside its playlist, here.

Producing 34 contested points and a relay of changed fortunes which floated in jeopardy for over 22 minutes, the 1980 Borg-McEnroe tie-break is one of the greatest sporting moments of the 20th century. Such an event has already been crystallized by decades of discussion, but its memory plane has surely never been shattered and reassembled into song quite like this:

“Duece” hit a few weeks back, so that puts Indian Wells at 2 and 0 in the ‘Tennistronic’ circuit. Debut album Night Drops is out in June through Bad Panda.
